Hi just looking for opinions on the good the bad and ugly of taking imuran. How long have you been taking it, what dose, personal side affects. How long have you been on the med? Really info would help. I have read all the other posts just looking for updated input. Thanks in advance for your words of wisdom!

I have been on it for four months and if I take it with a glass of milk, I don't have any pain.

Been on all kinds of meds since I was 10, imuran included. Have sle. The only thing that has worked for me with little to no side affects is cellcept.

I took it for over a year with no problems. It did really help me for a year but then started to have frequent flares again, so recently switched to CellCept. I really did like the Imuran though.

I've taken it for about 2 years. No side effects. I am now on methotrexate injections.

Thanks so much for all of your input. I called the Dr. a few days ago and expressed my concerns about the side effects and much to my surprise he took my call. After a lengthily conversation I agreed to take it. So far no side effects. Fingers crossed I have nothing but good results. Again, thanks for sharing!
