It took 4 years, numerous doctors even one (very rude rhuemy) before I found a doctor who listens. Now, 4 years from that point I have a new rhuemy and a dignosis of Sjogren's and "something else". I have had a positive lupus test, neg. and another positive. My doctor has been treating my symptoms. From what I understand RA, Lupus and Sjogren's are treated with a lot of the same medications and often if you have one then you will probably have another. Right now I am mixed connective tissue disorder.

I had excruciating pain in my feet and it turned out to be Uris acid build up bc of my kidneys. Just a thought, you never know. I hope you get better, sounds horrible.

I have the same issue mine won’t even treat me I have tons of symptoms positive ANA specked 1:640 and he insist that I do not have lupus. I’m 25 years old and I’m in pain every day of my life I feel like my body hates me or that I have the body of a 90 year old. It’s almost unbearable and I have so much desperation and anxiety that is only getting worse because I can’t seem to get any answers or help. At this point i have no idea what to do other than to wait for my next appointment in May of 2023 to get a second opinion with a new rheumatologist.

My story is probably the odd one out but it literally took me the time it takes to get 2 blood tests and a rheumatology appointment with a rheumatologist that had an open availability and a follow up with that rehumatologist within the next couple weeks.

Hello at all it took me about 6 months to learn what was going on with my body . I would go to the doctor and tell them that something was going on with my body. On many occasions they took blood My doctor at the time must had lots of patients he missed it . So I know something is wrong with me because I know my body. So he tell me go to the dermatologist . When I tell y’all my face looked like a Monster from what they called a butterfly it was so ugly . I still had to go to work . At the time I was not driving I had to caught public transportation I wanted to crawl in a hole an never come out . People was looking at me . I am sure they were saying what wrong with her. I Finley get an appointment with dermatology year 2000 and that’s when I was towed I had lupus results were from a biopsy that they took a piece of my skin. So the results was in back when my doctor first tock my blood. I could have been on medicine and not lost all my hair . To day I am so glad and happy with my life I have to keep going. I am All ways thanking God for everything . I am still able to work . Some morning are good an some are bad I like that gospel song it’s only a test what you are going through.
