Your situation sounds so familiar!! This happens and has happened I'm sure to most of us on many occasions!! When I get to the point where the pain is unbearable I could CARE LESS what the hospital thinks!! They may or may not think you are a drug seeker. Once you say Lupus they usually understand at least here they do. Their treatment is usually IV and morphine to start with me and then we change or they admit me if my levels are funky. How are you with warm baths, or hot tubs? Or any topical analgesics ? I know you said skin biopsy. I wld call your Dr and ask why they recommend. I hope this helps!! Praying for you love!

Honestly, if the pain is unbearable go in. I did a few weeks ago, and they gave me dilaudid for the pain, as well as Toradol to decrease the inflammation. Turns out I was going through a lupus flair, and every joint in my body was inflamed. They decided to start me on prednisone and admitted me into the hospital for three days.

So who knows, it might be worth going in, even if it's just for a prescription for something for the pain, or to get a rushed appointment to see someone about the aches.

I have plenty of sleepless nights with a lot of pain I find that a hot tea hot shower and a heating blanket works wonders. Praying this will get better r u. Also try taking vitamin D and eat some fresh pineapple. I read it's good for inflammation

I too have been in so much pain I wanted to go to hospital but I didn't because I had the same thoughts as you. New to this whole new me!!! I just started [[treatment:plaquenil:540f50ad08c929082c[[phone:000151]] 200:]] mg twice daily, but it can take up to 6 months to make a difference. I'm also on [[treatment:prednisone:540f50e[[phone:08608753462000065]] 5:]] mg once daily til it takes effect. It has helped with the extreme pain, but joints and neck still bad. Good luck glad to know I'm not the only one in this position!!!
