How long did it take for cellcept to take effect on your system. I just tryed to get up an felt like I was beat with a stick an saw my face in the mirror an my rash is back to like before any meds an my face, feet and legs are swollen.
I know this is from getting of imuran an going cellcept. I was just wondering how long it took to get in your system? I'm at my full dosage an have only been taking it for 2 weeks an a day so I know it needs time but ugh

I started taking Cell Cept a year ago this May. The first few weeks I had some strong side effects ( nausea, chills, fatigue, headaches, dizziness) but I stuck it out. Prior to Cell Cept, my immune system was in hyper-attack mode but shortly after my skin lesions started healing and 6 months in my blood levels stabilized fairly well. I started with 3000mg per day and reduced to 2000 now. Seems to be doing well and now side effects are minimal.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I take Hydroxychloroquine it's a generic for plaquenil not cell cept i think we have medication mix up. I take it for lupus flares not my kidney.

I'm new to cellcept and the side effects. I am hoping with time it works for me. I'm also on plaquinil and steroids.
