Yes it has been a few years since this post but if anyone out there is still reading on this thread it would be most helpful. Since Jan 2020 went to ER with left sided rib pain. At the time had flu a and b and was afraid I was setting up pnemonia. Was told I had a broken rib. I had no cough at all so was concerned how thay was possible. Few days later asked for the reading of xray to be faxed to me and it stated normal lungs no fracture. I called the radiologist confused bc ideas dx w broken ribs yet they did not mention it on the report. Needless to say my trip was pointless bc I have yet to determine what the cause of my pain is. This pain is still present and it comes and goes. I freak out thinking it could be cancer and dont want to let it go bc it could only worsen. I have not had any other imagine done yet but does anyone else experience nauseous with their pain? My pain kinda moves. It is right at at my armpit area at the moment but sometimes can be felt in my shoulder blade back area more and also feels like my back is in a catch and needs to pop.

I get that pain when my spleen is inflamed,it happens with us b/c our spleen is working harder fighting off infection's and virus's we don't have.Just like anything that's over worked pain happen's as told by my Dr,it's something you should have your Dr look at.We all go thru some of the same things but we Are Not Dr's,all we can do is say what we've been thru.I wish you healing and wellness,God bless.

I'm told it is part of lupus...hitting the connective tissue around the heart or lungs. Stay away from dairy products.

I have been having issues with inflammation on the front and sides of my ribs right under my breasts where your ribs stick out the most. I was wondering if you also have this issue? I can run my hands over it and feel it slip under my hand but causes a full ache when touched it pushed on.

Laura I have that pain too . Sharp pain left under my rib cage . I took Motrin I can’t take it anymore. Hugs
