I have been experiencing pain on my left side under my ribcage as well as on both sides of my back in the flank area. The pain is not excruciating but definitely uncomfortable. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it is a Lupus thing or something else.

Hi! I have something very similar to this, as well. I do believe it is associated with lupus. When I was experiencing that pain in my upper back both sides and in my chest both sides, my doc diagnosed it as pleurisy. I don't know if that is definitely what it was, as he is a GP and didnt run any tests, just listened to my heart and lungs and said pleurisy... but, I have also heard of costochondritis being described like this.. Also,@A MyLupusTeam Member, if you are experiencing pain in the flank area/both sides.. you may need to have kidneys checked.. many ppl judge the location of the kidneys much lower than they actually are.. so, maybe this could be the cause , I am not sure. God bless
I am experiencing the same. I decided to go to a pain management doctor. I have gotten shots in my lower back, hips and my neck . My doctor told me the next step is a stimulator with wires in my back and I will have a remote to use with it. Has anyone ever used this or heard about it..?
