Been on the injections for 3 months. Started getting used to it after a month. When dosage increased, it took at least another 3 doses before the side effects subsided. It's working though because my CRP level went from 32 down to 18.

I have a lot more energy. I can actually go for walks now without as much pain or feeling tired. I'm not sure if it's the methotrexate or because I'm just feeling better overall. The prednisone, which I'm weaning off of, does give me insomnia.

The only side effect I had was nausea. I went from pills to injections to try to help that. Took phenegran for nausea and I took leucovorin (which is a form of folic acid). It is sometimes called Leucovorin Rescue when they would give it after given methotrexate IV. make sure you are taking it!!

I hated it. My doc said make sure to take folic acid while on it to protect the liver.
