My doctor started me on Plaquenil 200mg 1× daily. My question is what is the best time to take it? I already take Birth Control, Zyrtec, Welbutron and Prilosec in the mornings. So I was wondering if it would be better to take it at night since I take all those in the morning?

I don't think it matters when you take it, morning or evening, just as long as you take it around the same time everyday. More importantly with taking this med is keeping check on your eyes with frequent eye exams. It would be good to get an exam now to have for comparison.

I am on plaquenil and have been taking it for years. I take it at night. I agree it doesn't matter when, just the same time every day. Also, getting your eyes checked every six months is a most. Most insurance will cover that.

I take all my meds in the morning because for me at least if I take my meds at night I don't sleep well (including my Plaquenil).

I take one in the morning with food and one at night with dinner. Hope it helps you.
