Help For Bad Anxiety

Help For Bad Anxiety

I have really bad anxiety that's happens for no reason, like when I try to sleep I get so anxious that blood rushes to my head and my heart starts racing. I'm getting tired of it and I need help. Has anyone's anxiety went away on its own?

you are right, writing in a journal has been a suggestion to help with anxiety because it takes your mind off what you were so anxious about @A MyLupusTeam Member

unfortunately it's kinda hard to give other people with anxiety advice because the things you do to help yours don't always work for someone else but it feels pretty good trying to help them :)

I always take my anxiety medicine with my insomnia medicine like when I'm about to go to bed to be honest you really take the medicine by whatever the directions your doctor gives you for instance on my bottle it says take before bed but when the ED doctor gave me a prescription for ativan he told me to take it whenever I'm feeling anxious I think it is due to the strength the one I am on now isn't that strong cause like as soon as you take ativan the anxiety is gone I've not taken Xanax I have a friend who does but apparently it's not helping them any more also I try not to take my anxiety medicine i will drink tea or do stuff i did when the sun was out or if i lie down and read i will put like three pillows under my head it seems to help a lot cause you are up high like changing your sleeping position can help with anxiety as well oh and I was given zyrtec once to help when my anxiety was like so bad and as soon as I took the zyrtec I was out like a light @A MyLupusTeam Member

Talk to your doctor about this. You might be having panic attacks. I used to have them quite often, but I am now on an antidepressant that stops them from happening in the first place. Anti-anxiety meds, like Xanax, won't stop them from happening because they are meant to be taken once you start experiencing the anxiety. However, I have found that the panic attacks ended before the meds kicked in; that just left me really tired and unproductive for the rest of the day. Everyone's different, but Cymbalta has worked the best for me – not one panic attack while taking it. I switched to Cymbalta due to nerve pain, but I was previously on Lexapro and that controlled the panic attacks very well too. I hope this helps you. Good luck! Keep us updated.

Anxiety, I have the same thing, or used to. My therapist helped me a lot. Whenever I started to get that "feeling" start naming items in the room you're in. Like, I see a lamp, II see a chair etc. It really helped me get back in touch with myself. Another thing I've found helpful is to start being mindful everyday. Start with little things, then move on to bigger things. Being mindful is being in the present, Write things down. Keep a journal, "stop and smell the roses". Listen to the birds, really hear the wind when it blows.

anxiety usually goes away within 10 to 15 minutes, I hate anxiety it keeps me from sleeping and it makes me worry more than I should or want to about things that won't even matter 10 to 20 years from now, my girlfriend is a pretty big help when I'm anxious she
distracts you have to find things to distract you, when you have anxiety attacks lying down or sitting still isn't the answer I usually do the things I do in the morning what you're having are nocturnal anxiety attacks they're just like the ones you have in the morning only worse because you're tired you want sleep your body is like let's sleep but your mind is like no way man let's torture you. Lemon and ginger helps with anxiety it also helps with insomnia too, get yourself some herbal tea they have the anxiety and sleep kind both are for anxiety and insomnia boil you some don't add anything to it afterwards drink it as it is make sure it's warm enough to your liking so you can drink it I also read or walk, I usually walk myself into exhaustion the bad thing about anxiety attacks is that they last so long by the time your mind shuts down the sun is coming up and it's almost time to get up and be an adult, I used to just deal with my anxiety attacks but one day it got so bad that I started beating my head up against a wall I was taken to the hospital they gave me ativan and afterwards my psychologist decided to put me on an anxiety medication if it gets to that point they may put you on an anxiety medication cause anxiety attacks can get deadly some people black out due to them or end up not being able to breathe on their own due to them if they get to the point in which you can't stand them please let your doctor know so they can help you.
