I guess I notice it more when I am at rest but out of no where I will suddenly get severe shooting, radiating pain.Tonight it's in my left hand, beginning in my palm and shooting right up through to my fingertips! Any thoughts?

Yes. The shooting pains can be anywhere on my body at any time. The radiating pain is on my right side. It's much worse laying down or even when my feet are elevated. I have degenerative disc disease and I'm told it's coming from my back. I also have it in my neck and that's causing the zaps to my fingers.
