yes the lupus attacks so many parts of the body i do not think there is any thing that can stop it so sad of a condition i was told my is scarring alopecia auto immune lupus it is a emotional and painful condition to deal with give your daughter hugs and understanding mine scarring damages the roots from the inflammation and was told will not grow back so take your daughter to dermatologist to see if they can tell you what type it is

I am on plaquenil for a while now and also methotrexate going on my nine week and my hair started to fall off. A nurse recommended to start on hair & nail vitamin with biotin and that have seemed to help a lot but if you stop it hair gets brittle again.
