How do you guys deal with hair loss? I am losing so much hair that my hair is all over my house and mh boyfriend's house. He even finds hair when I'm not there anymore! I need help!

This is becoming overwhelming.

Mine is definitely from taking Methotrexate, but increasing my Folic Acid intake has helped a little.

Are you noticing bald/thinning spots or just a lot of hair laying around/in the shower? Try talking to your doc if you get thinning spots. (I hate giving that answer, because obviously we are here asking questions for a reason.)

@A MyLupusTeam Member 2mg is about what I take a day, as well. I have lots of uncomfortable symptoms otherwise, including RLS and insomnia. I only take 5 tablets of the 2.5 mg Methotrexate though, so if you needed to increase your intake it would be much more!

Try coconut or castor oil. Massage in hair leave for two hours and wash. It won't stop immediately but is supposed to be beneficial.

I've been looking for questions and answers about hair loss. I have SLE Lupus and I take methotrexate shots weekly. 1 mm I believe. I also take 10 methotrexate 2.5 pills when traveling. I was diagnosed in 2009 January. I keep telling myself it's only hair! I have hair everywhere also. Lots of bald/thinning spots. I bought a wig years ago but don't wear it. Right now I have allot of scalp itching going on, very bothersome..
I also tell myself on a regular basis it could always be worse. I also take folic acid and Celebrex.
