Luckily the short doses don't have me gain weight in fact it does the opposite. I could not take the plaquenil but I wish I could have. For now the Kenalog shot does as well for me. I will continue to get the B 12 shot also for the fatigue. I'm just hoping I don't have to go on permanent steroids Because then I would gain the weight.

I had the same issues with prednisone plus it made me gain weight and had severe stomach cramps now I take plaquenell and Arava it helps alot with joint pain and cymbalta for depression but I still have days when I don't want to leave the house fatigue still takes over hope this helps
