Has anyone changed in the way that they don't like being alone... I don't like even going to the shops or appointments by myself or being at home alone... I feel very insecure... I have never been like this before ...i used to enjoy my alone time... I think this lupus has changing my mental side of things
It sounds like you are being agoraphobic which would happen with depression and anxiety. I have experienced this and I work in the mental health field. The lupus and chronic pain would definitely lead to this. Although I enjoy my alone time, I know it is not healthy for me to stay at home all the time. Maybe you need some counseling. Talk to your doctor. Tell him/her everything because they cannot deal with anything they don't know about. Chronic Pain does cause depression. Ask for help. I hope all goes well!! <3
Fight this or it is so easily takes over the way you live your life , l went thru a similar time but forced myself to work thru it and l looked at it as someone trying to stop going out to enjoy myself which then made me look at Lupus as something that has to live with me l don't have to live with it oxoxo
I have this too. I want my husband near me at all times. I don't do anything alone. I used to be such a people person. Not anymore I hate leaving the house and seriously dislike and feel uncomfortable with crowds. I know loud noises is one reason and I have an increased sense of smell especially for foul odors. Lupus has definitely changed me.
Sorry. Opposite. I have no desire to leave the house. Don't want to see anybody, and becoming a recluse. Have anxiety attacks now when I know that I have a busy week. Zoloft finally seems to be helping, not as suicidal as I was a month ago. But I'm having a hard time conquering the mental aspects of this. I've always been extremely autonomous. Don't want anyone to see this in me. I'm not the man I was even 3 years ago. Wish I could help. Good luck.
Hi really sorry to hear this but sure do empathise with you. It's the vulnerability that manifests itself through coping. Coping with constant pain is one thing but in addition I have learned that lupus is so individual that we have to spend so much energy really getting to know our bodies. Give yourself that time and I'm hoping you have someone who can be with you at this time. Try and keep busy. Some days I set myself a timetable to get through those times where bring by myself is challenging . But most of all remember you may be by yourself but you aren't alone that's what this team is all about I'll be thinking if you . πππ»π
