Has anyone been on or is on cytoxan, or methotrexate? I'm curious the results and side effects. Thank you

I was on methotrexate for a few years. It helped me to have less flares. 5 years ago I had an accident and have had 7 surgeries trying to save my foot. I took myself off the methotrexate at the time of the accident. It appears that the last major surgery, Dec.2015, is healing. so I am talking to my doc about going back on. Nausea was my biggest problem but I took otc travel sickness medicine and it took care of it. Because I only felt bad for an hour or so. I took it once a week. I liked it compared to Cellcept.

Doctor put me on methotrexate and in a couple days I started having really bad dizzy spells. Worse than with the lupus. Doctor has me off for a couple weeks to see if dizziness subsides.

I'm on methatrexate 20mgs ...i take it orally... I. Have been very foggy and a bit nauseous but I was foggy before from the lupus... It hasn't got me in remission yet but here's hoping... I've tried plaquinal and collect but I couldn't take either.... Give it a try... That's all we can do... We are all different hope it helps you :)

I'm on MTX.

In talking with my rheumatologist it has a 50-70% remission rate. It is also the staring point to chemotherapy and lupus here. If I want pharmacare and my work benefits you have to start there.

You cannot take it if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant. I am in my early 30s so we did a pregnancy test first.

I chose to go with the injection to try and cut down on the side effects. I work M-F (not full days) so I do my injection on Friday. Post injection I get stupid and foggy. That lasts all weekend. I haven't lost head hair but my legs are developing bald spots.

Methotrexate didn't do anything for me except effect my moods. Didn't do anything for my numbers. Benlysta has been the only thing that works:)
