Has anyone experienced jaw pain/tension following their diagnosis which occurs bc of trigger points in the muscles of neck and shoulders? How do you find lasting relief?

I clench my teeth during the night and used to have a lot of neck, shoulder discomfort. My dentist made me a bite guard that fits over my two top teeth at night and it has alleviated the problem.

I swear by the effectiveness of a mouth guard during sleep. Still wake up with a bit of soreness but it's ten times worse when I don't use it.

I experience jaw pain/tension. I think it's because I clench my teeth when I sleep or am in pain.

I have TMJ and trigeminal neuralgia. Clicking upon opening the jaw, and soreness. I had cervical spine fusion on 2 discs, so my neck is sore with limited range of motion. Not sure this is Lupus related, though.
