Yes,it showed on my endoscope that I have inflammation causing it. Its best too see a gastro,not just any Dr. We need specialist for each issue we have going on, I have 10 to date:).

Yes I have . And I found out I have hoshimotos. Even though my TSH was normal my peroxidase test was through the roof. Then I had a thyroid ultrasound and found out I had a goiter. Which essentially was my autoimmune system attacking my thyroid. Now I take thyroid medicine . The goiter went away. Swallowing went back to normal. Maybe they can test your thyroid antibodies. Yes, I have trouble swallowing especially when I'm in a flare. It is caused by inflammation. I have GERD as well. I take Prevacid in the morning and my GI doctor recommended I take otc Zegerid before bedtime- it has certainly helped. We do need to involve specialists in our continued care. Hope this helps.

I do have history of acid reflux... And I was thinking it could be related... I definitely will be going back to get it looked at
