Hi all, hope you are having a good day.
I have recently been getting pain in the wrists. Not an incredibly unusual symptom for Lupus. What I do find strange is that my veins seem to become very pronounced around my hand and wrist area when I get the pain. I was wondering if this is normal, or if any of you guys also experience this? Could it be that my veins are inflamed?

Mine do that too now. One is worse than the other.. And the veins swelling up scared me, but it happens all the time. I feel you about the meds. I guess I am not the only one skating the pain no matter what.
Does anyone else feel like they are "burning" under their skin at night when they sleep?
I have wrist and thumb pain. I can barely open anything. Whenever I get a steroid shot it does bad things to other part of my body. I get throbbing spasms in my back when I have gotten one for my shoulder, hip, or ankles. I have come to realize that steroids are harder on my body than the pain I am having.
Wear wrist braces around the house and for work, they help a lot.
I get those; my hands "cup"; I fill a large wide mouth vase with warm water and flex them.
I too have a lot of inflammation on my hands. There are days when my veins are huge. Dont know why this happens but you're not alone.
