Hi there, my hair loss comes and goes. I was introduced to rosemary oil a couple of months ago and it honestly has done wonders for my hair
I'm not losing hair by the handfuls anymore, I have tons of baby hair growing out. It might not work for everyone but maybe give it a try. It is really strong, you can use it with a carrier oil like coconut oil, I don't mind the smell, so I use it straight. Hope t helps you. 🤗

Between the lupus And methotrexate I lost all of my hair except for one tiny braid I didn't have the heart to cut. I stopped the methotrexate for four months and my hair is currently growing back. But because I am getting worst instead of better I will be taking the methotrexate again. I lie to myself and say it doesn't bother me but it does. One of the things you learn to live with

I have had considerable hair loss, I used to have really thick shiny hair and it's just falling out and is so incredibly thin.

No prob. I noticed you said you hadn't started treatment yet. Before, Plaqunil mine was worse but as I have long thick dark hair it still didn't bother me too bad. However, it is worse than I thought as a dr noticed it and I never brought it up. Plaqunil helped me as hair loss in SLE is cuased by an immune attack on the hair follicles. However, if u have severe SLE and need methotrexate, cyclophosamide these meds can sometime cuase hair loss as side effects.

It's an SLE dx criteria in the 2012 version known as "Non scarring alopecia." This is the hair thinning, leaving short hair's behind. It is worse at the front hair line. This type I believe is non permannet and hair returns when disease is under control.

However, if you have DLE (dicoid lupus) then this cuases scarring alopecia (hairloss) so then yes, in that instance it is prob. permanent.
