Hmm sounds like lesions which is a symptom of Chronic Cutaneous Lupus aka discoid lupus (DLE) and it also sounds like a malar rash in DLE or discoid lupus the lesions usually are red or scaly and they itch with some people & with others they usually do not itch or hurt, only about 20% of people with SLE get discoid lupus. Also sometimes when being exposed to the sun for a certain amount of time the sun will make our skin itchy with red blotches or spots that is called SCL or subacute cutaneous lupus that is why our doctors advise us to not be in the sun and if we do get exposed to the sun wear sunscreen or a hat or anything that will protect us because not only does the sun make us extremely fatigued but it can cause our skin to itch unbearably, ah the perks of being a lupie! :)

Absolutely. My autoimmune derm just tells me its lupus and inflammation. I take pics to document because it seems the red spots always resolve when its derm or rheum appt.

Yes ! I take generic benadryl every time it happens. It used to be several times a day but fortunately it's slowed down to happening once every week or two. Tip, Dollar General has a generic benadryl with100 tablets in it for $1. That way I know I always have some

Yes, I get bright red spots that itch a little or sometimes I get a burning sensation. It only lasts for a little while. Then they fade back to my normal skin color. Not sure why it happens, I was referred to a dermatologist.
