Your magnesium level could be low (the normal range level on blood work is on the low side already). I drink CALM a magnesium supplement you can get it at Health food store or Vitacost (the Natural Vitality Brand works better for me) online is cheaper. I like the Raspberry Lemon Flavor. I found that drinking it helps me. You start out at 1tsp and build up by 1/2tsp every day. Once you have a loose bowel movement you drop back to previous dose. You may have to adjust your dosage. You can get Magnesium Tab. over the counter but I have not tried it. I have been using CALM for 12 years and I should have stock in this company by now. Don't get me wrong I still hurt but my pain is not as intense as before. I'm able to do more by using CALM and that means a lot. It's still not the Life before Lupus but we have to take each day God gives us with Rejoice!

Roschelle, you need to find a good pain management doc. My Arthritis doctor recommended this for me and it's made a world of difference. Although some pain you just cannot control and have to live with. I'm sitting up right now at 1:51 am because the pain in my hands and arms always get uncontrollable when I'm in bed at night. Don't ask me why and my doctor hasn't figured it out yet.

Why can't you use marijuana everyday? If it was legal here, I would.

I would like to and in the state of WI they are working on getting it for medical. I am working on advocacy for medical legalization.
