St Charles, MO

I just received my blood work back for the first time in testing for a auto immune disease. My GP says everything is fine, but My White blood cell count is slightly high, my red blood cell count is slightly high, and My Neutrophils (Absolute) is slightly high, but the most concerning thing to me is my Anti-DNA AB QN is high. I have read where that can point to Lupus. Should I question this?

I'm in menopause right now but it still may affect that, who knows! Thanks for the tip! :)

Definitely see a Rheumatologist ASAP but do not stop seeing your primary especially for the pain when breathing and anemia. Compare your flare in symptoms to your monthly cycle. Mine would do that. Was sickest right before, then good for few days once I started, then sick again mid way. Helped me plan when to do stuff and when not to. Hope it helps. Hang in there.

No. I'm going to go to one on my own. He did say my iron was very low and I need to start taking iron sulfate. I have pain in my lungs, hurts to breathe and take a deep breath my entire body aches like I gave the flu and joints at times are fire hot and I run low grade fever. Today, I'm fine for the most part. Like it magically goes away. Give it two weeks, it will come back, it always does.

Has your primary ordered additional testing or referred you to a Rheumatologist yet?
