Definitely! Hormones interact negatively with the immne system. Actually, hormonal changes are one of the most common triggers for lupus flares. At that time of the month I take extra care of myself to try to avoid a flare. I do have migranes almost every month though! Hope it helps and you get better soon!

Hi I am Jean, yes the pain does get worse at the time of month. It feels like a really bad case of flu all the veins in your body hurts . I try and sleep it off plus pain killers. My Dr proscribed tramodol. It helps a little. Bless you.

Lupus makes my periods worst.I feel like another person. All I wanna do is sleep, cramps are unbearable. I can't take pain meds cause of Eliquis for my blood clots. Men especially at these times seem so aggravating to
me. 😊So I take vitamins, tea, heating pad and use Dr.Teal peppermint and spearmint rub for a nice shower.😁😄
