I was diagnosed with gastroparesis recently. The doctor doesn't understand why I have it since
I don't have diabetes or any other qualities to have it. He's suggested a gastric pacemaker. Is anyone familiar with, or have, gastroparesis and what did you do for it? Does anyone have the gastric pacemaker? And if so, how do you like it?
Botox injections worked for daughter. Took 6 rounds but she is much better
Sarahmichael Sorry to hear. I see my dr next month so far I have to take the meds. It seems you take one Med for a problem and it causes another one.
Unfortunately, the medication does not work for me. I have serous reactions to it. This doctor is my second opinion. There is nothing they can do except medication from Canada, because the medicine is legal in the US, and the pacemaker. My gastroparesis is considered severe and has only gotten worse over the last two years. If anyone has a suggestion on a diet that has helped them, I am open to many things.
Lpatta I can't take the medication for gastroparesis. I tried it before and ended up with the Parkinson's side effects. They become permanent if you continue to use it.
How are you doing with your gastroparesis? Did you go ahead with the gastric pacemaker? Does it help all of the severe pain?
My doctor told me that having gastroparesis is definitely Lupus related.
I've since had a hiatal hernia repair and have a lot less gastroparesis pain although I still try to follow the diet restrictions.
