With all the struggles with lupus does anyone ever feel like or made to feel like a burden to family, friends or significant other?

No No No and No I have gotten to the point I do not care I do not care what they feel . I can remember many times asking for help and getting that body language like they do not want to do it eyes rolling faces frowned hurried etc etc from my own family That is why I know if I do not put me first I will be in trouble Make your life as easy as possible and have No regrets If they had to go threw what we go threw some of them would fold They can not and do not understand what it is to feel extreme fatigue and and pains almost daily I will never consider myself a burden I consider them unable to be empathetic and kind If I do not take good care of me mind body and soul Lupus will unleash more viciously.Others
smothers, it is all about keeping lupus on a leash and love in your heart Even though I have been neglected I will still do my best to be kind and empathetic to all Do all things with Love πŸ’—I can only control who God wants me to beπŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Thank you, just seems like lately I am more sick then feeling good. My daughters constantly see me laid out because of pain, lack of sleep or meds. I feel like I'm complaining every time I speak because I am always and pain. And that can be irritating even to me. My eldest wanted to move out but stayed back for me. I am just so over this lupus thing.

Definitely, I always feel like I'm a handful. I've had a couple of people that left my life because I was overwhelming, but I tried not to let it get to me because I was left with really patient people in my life. Just know, you're most likely not a burden to your loved ones. I learned that if they care for you, they'll be understanding about your position.

It's difficult living with Lupus. You go through a lot, you're definitely not a burden.

Wonderfully said..luvur. I have learnt people will disappoint you GOD will never. I found myself constantly reminding people I have lupus who already know because the expectations they placed on me. Got tired of the repetitiveness. People have shorter memories than me and lupus took most of mine. I am the rock n my family but now that I'm sick no one has picked up the ball they just feel sorry for me. Lupus is my burden and I theirs.
