I’ve noticed a pattern a few days before my period that I start to become really fatigued. I’ve been on plaquenil for 8 month and the morjority of my symptoms have disappeared. They only return few days before my expected period. Extreme fatigue that causes me to be unable to work or go out. As well as muscle aches. I would normally think this is normal period symptoms but I don’t even have cramps. It’s the same kinda fatigue I used to get before I knew I had lupus.

Well, not exactly. For me it seemed that burst of hormones just before my period was causing my flare ups. I used to get dizzy spells a few days before then extreme fatigue & severe muscle/ body aches like clockwork. I took epson salt baths to help with the pain... different than menstrual cramps. My doctor used to give me Predisone rescue pack when it got too bad.
