I have more off or bad days then I do good lately that I’m worried I can not commit to a job outside the home. I’m not sure what I should do or how I can come to terms with this does anyone have any suggestions or advice they can give me? I would greatly appreciate it, it’s scary.

I work from home, doing customer service for Amazon. I started out as a seasonal employee, and then converted to a regular employee. I only work 20 hours a week and I still get full insurance. They have also been amazing at working with me to accommodate my health / medical needs. Like allowing me take leave when I need to, and letting me work short morning shifts.

Lupus ended my career three years ago. I just couldn’t make it through the day. I miss my career some days. I also miss the income. But, I adjusted for the most part. On the upside I believe it was the best decision for me. For the first time in my life, I actually put my health and myself first. Hope you are able to take some significant time off for yourself!

Im very sorry. I had to accept this over the last 2 years. I’m so unpredictable. I had so many feelings of guilt and unworthiness. If you do have to stop working find a therapist to help you during this process/transition. The positive side of this for me has been the fact that I feel so much better and I have quality time with my loved ones.
I hope you find peace in your soul at this time.

I know for myself, work has to be a priority before socializing, hobbies etc.. I am self employed so there is no 'safety net' for me to fall back on. I go to bed early (8:30 - 9pm), and rarely make plans on week nights. Perhaps there is something you could do from home that could add an income?
