My naturopathic has brought up LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) to me. Has anyone heard of using this for Lupus symptoms and if so what has your experience been? I have started to research it and it sounds almost to good to be true...

It is not FDA approved. No studies, no data for side effects. Especially long term.It is used for people who are addicted to opioids. It is being used for Lupus without knowing outcome.

It is used for opioids but in a very low dose. That’s why its called los dose naltrexone or LDN.

I just read today @A MyLupusTeam Member experience, never heard of it before.
I am not sure if my doctors will listen if I bring it up.

I was prescribed LDN but didn’t THINK I saw any results. I was trying too many things at once. I was actually thinking of trying it again.
I know dosage is key. Also, it’s sometimes hard to get a doctor to prescribe and often only found at a compounding pharmacy. There is a very informative yahoo group that may be worth joining.
