What are your tips for an easy blood draw? Even aftr 10 years they still get me hyperventilating. I know about keeping hydrated and keeping the draw site toasty... but what has worked for yall in the past to make this easier?

I just look away. Closing my eyes makes me feel more which is why we close eyes when we kiss, in my humble opinion. When I was first diagnosed the nurse told me, “congratulations! You have the most vials of the year.” It was 17. I would get a picture in my mind, the best place on earth, and breath slow. I hope it goes better for you. If I had a fear of needles that would make things so much harder.

I don’t look! You can also bring along a phone so you can listen to music or read during the procedure. It’s usually pretty quick tho so I’m not sure if reading would be reasonable but music, esp with headphones would help block things out
