I have recently been diagnosed with Lupus. My doctor started me on prednisone a few weeks ago. My hair started falling out a couple of months ago. Has anyone else had a problem with hair loss? Will my hair loss subside and will it start to grow back?
Thanks so much!
I take a mega B complex for skin and hair. Look for a doctor who specializes in lupus. Mibe offered help with issues that I never realized were related to my lupus.
I have lupus and some of my hair fell out. Now it is growing back thicker. I take 10,000 biotin with a multi vitamin daily. I also rinse with rice water once or twice a week.
I take biotin and folic acid to help with hair loss.
I actually started with some kind of rash on the top of my head that was causing hair loss. Then had some swelling on the tops of my hands, went to rheumatologist who knew right away I had lupus. I was also hypothyroid at the same time as my first flare so I was a mess and that also causes hair loss. Seems like everything causes hair loss 😳
I was using Biotin 10,000mg also ,but after a while, I wasn't having as much success. Then I began to use Biolage Full Density shampoo and my hair finally had volume again and wasn't falling out like it had been. Then, of course, they changes their formula, UGH! So now I'm trying a new shampoo from Ulta, Bondi Boost. They highly recommended it. Time will tell.
