I am 39 with full dentures. Right before my diagnosis, my teeth just started to crumble. It was really upsetting. I have to admit, I actually like the dentures more than my ugly teeth lol! I feel your pain, though!
Yes :( The first month or so when I started getting sick (first big flare before I knew what this was) I had 3 teeth break. The last 6-9 months my teeth have all gotten really bad regardless of dental hygiene. I honestly think I’ll end up with full dentures within the year if it continues this way which is really upsetting.
I’m glad you asked this question. I was going to ask it my self. My gums bleed very easily., and I get mouth sores periodically. However, over the weekend I have three teeth that chipped for no apparent reason. I hadn’t bitten anything crunchy or hard. It’s perplexing me.
Do you also have Sjogrens?
My teeth are getting softer. One week, two teeth that had fillings in them broke a day apart from each other. A root canal that I had gotten 18 years ago flared up and became infected and just recently, I chipped a bottom front tooth some how. My dentist suggested that I take a calcium supplement and use ACT rinse especially before bed to let it set on my teeth while I sleep.
