Hi all, sorry, I feel as though im asking a lot of questions on here lately...and probably more to come. I'm beginning to think I must be heading into a flare. Today I woke up with a strange symptom. Well...a new version of an old symptom. I am having terrible terirble mouth pain. My tongue, my gums, insides of my cheeks, throat, everything is terribly painful and sensitive. It started mildly last night but woke me up all through the night and now is very uncomfortable to talk or eat. I have had… read more

That magic mouthwash, is the bomb... I also like to freeze the inside of my mouth from my lips, tongue, palettes to the inside of my jaws around the gums and down my throat with Popsicles, crushed ice, snow cone, icee sugar free and not acidic flavored....Sonic's frozen yogurt slush and Wendy's vanilla frosty are lifesaver for unpredictable sensitivities of a painful nureological miscommunication conducted by Loopholes in the life long disease. Lupus!

I've experienced paralysis, choking on my tongue. Gag reflexes suddenly stop and become unable to swallow. It's been demolinating havoc within and made me feel like deaths door for sure, but the experiences, unknowingly lessens my fears of the uncertainty of unknown an unpredictable Lupus disease can be. May God be with you guys. I pray, that we feel peace, love and happiness... By the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

For me personally the mouth involvement has been the worst. Some of the most random and bizarre things going on. Inflamed tastebuds, geographic tongue, blood blisters, ulcers, white tongue on and off, thrush, long papillae, tender gums the list goes on! Hope you feel better soon

Exactly, I couldn’t put it better myself! I have OCD too and my anxiety is awful some days. I feel as though I have a rare disease because if I described my symptoms to another person they would think I am nuts and run a mile!

@A MyLupusTeam Member YES!! Oh my gosh, the gum around my right incisor get inflammed and irriated all the time..sometimes a canker sore around that tooth! I don't think we're going crazy, or at least if we are, we're going crazy together! It is a very irritating symptom and hard to exlpqin to other that youre having trouble talking or eating, they just assume youre either crazy or have some contagious disease

@A MyLupusTeam Member yes!!! Same with me!! Interesting, i just had 2 blood blisters inside my cheek the night the mouth soreness came on. Mouth involvement has been very promient for me as well, one of my main symptoms. I haven't gotten the geographic tongue yet though. This is the first mouth pain wothoit many visible signs though..maybe theyre coming on soon. I noticed though the gum behind my last bottom molar is swollen higher than the tooth
