Surprise, AZ

I am currently having a flare but felt better today. Decided to leave the house for the first time in three days to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy. Immediately upon entering the store I began to have a severe sensitivity to the lighting and almost felt like I would pass out. Is this a lupus thing? I definetly get photosensitivity in sunlight but NEVER experienced anything this severe indoors before.

When I first got diagnosed I was severely sensitive to UV light it got so bad I couldn't even turn on the lights in my own home without getting really sick in minutes I was told UV sensitivity is part of lupus. Now 5 years later lights don't make me sick me(it's rare when it does) and can stand 30-45 minutes of direct sunlight and 4 hours of indirect sunlight (with sunblock on and upf clothing)and as backlash I just get the butterfly rash and a fever(but Tylenol takes care of that)

I flare just from watching tv for too long. I'm super sensitive to all lights. I sadly limit the days I go to the theater because I flare each and every time with that huge screen hitting my face. So it's not just the sun.

Photosensitivity doesn’t typically make one presyncopal. I would think about other possibilities.

Having photosensitivity doesn't matter if it's indoor or outdoor light it affects you as with the weather changing and we all should avoid the direct sunlight

Yes it can. Some people are that sensitive to that type of light. Maybe where sunglasses when you go out. Take care. ❤️🥰🙏🦋
