Hi everyone! Can anyone recommend a SSDI Attorney in New Mexico? Just got denied on my initial SSDI application. I think I want an attorney to assist on my appeal.
Thanks! Hope everyone is having a good day. :)

I was denied my first time out too. I have more than Lupus all are on the list that qualify for Disability. My Lawyer was had been on the board that decided if a person qualified. He said they turned down the majority of people the first time to try to weed out the ones that are not really qualified. They ruled in my favor 1 week before my court date. He did mine on contingency and only charged what by law they are allowed to. There are Lawyers who find a way to change more. Check with your BBB.

Have you looked in Santa Fe? Find law.com is a good place to start.

I hired an attorney for my appeal in another state. (Which, BTW nearly ALL inital applications are denied). Most attorneys will do it on contingency (1/3 of your back pay) if they don't work on contingency I wouldn't hire one - an indication they don't want to risk a denial. Contingency lawyers will work harder and faster.
