I was about to ask a related question: does anyone have Mitral valve prolapse? You might have flutter because of MVP. My grandma has it and she has lupus. I was wondering how common it is for us to get it. However, the dr. said to her that it is genetic and that our whole family should be tested. He also said she was born with it. I'm not sure how he can know she was born with it. She was told before by a different cardiologist that she got MVP from strep throat that went untreated.
