I was diagnosed with SLE in September..we bought our house in October..since then it has been extremely difficult for me to climb up the stairs..I am often forced to sleep downstairs due to the excruciating pain in my hips..does anyone else have this issue?
Yes, I have trouble constantly with it. My hips, knees ,and feet
I have this problem as well and I only take 1 trip up and down the stairs per day. I also have a cane. Going down is harder than going up for me and I always have my hubby with me when doing stairs for fear of falling. We are hoping to be downsize and move to a 1 story when my husband retires in the next 2 years.
Ask Dr for referral to ocupational therapy for a stair lift
I hope you or your doctor finds something that will relieve your pain. I had some injections at the pain management clinic and did help me to some degree. However, most of my relief has come from my anti-inflammatory diet, I've decided to try since my sed rate had been getting so high. Take care and God bless you.
He has me on all types of stuff..the most recent medications are Methotrexate and Cyclobenzaprine..which both make me extremely nauseous so I have to take Zofran first..its just exhausting dealing with this illness and I'm still new to it and still learning 😔
