I also found a great pain management doctor. I take 10mg hydrocodone everyday and he gives me a few dilapidated tablets to take each month for severe break through pain when moth works. Also a muscle relaxer. Every month I get muscle injections up and down head, neck and spine and hips. It's like a steroid and muscle all in a shot. Then he gives me botox every 3 months for chronic migraines, he doesn't prevent flares but he makes sure I get through them as comfortable as possible. You can tell in his eyes he truly cares about the pain you're feeling. Love him!

I have a pain management doctor now. This has made a dramatic improvement in my life. He has not just given me lots of narcotics that make me sleep or so loopy in the head I cannot remember my name. No, he has given me a patch that gives me meds all the time and stopped the main pains. Now he also prescribes meds for what he calls break through pain. Now I cannot get pain medication from any other doctor, unless I am having surgery or such. And even then it must be coordinated with him. He makes a big deal about making sure I am not seeking drugs, but that I have actual pain. I love him. It is saving my life. and making me a more productive and active person. Not just the lady in the fetal position in bed crying all the time. I have to say, this is a great improvement. But we had to learn to trust each other. I went in there very skeptical, and pain doctors have to weed out drug seekers and junkies, so our first visit was learning about the process and about each other. Then the next month, I told him the meds were not doing what We agreed was reasonable., and that is when he put me on a patch and changed up everything, and my life is changing, for the good. This took a long time to get my doctors on board to send me to a pain management doctor, but it is giving me back my life. I may not be able to get rid of flare's, but it does help make them so you can live through them with the least amount of pain as possible.
