Imuran Vs CellCept?

Imuran Vs CellCept?

My rheumatologist is thinking of putting me on one of these two medications. I've been reading about them, but want to go with the one that has the fewest side effects. I also want to know which one would be better for rashes and other skin problems?

I have been on Plaquenil for a year and helped mostly pain issues. Was recently placed on Azathyoprine as an addition and skin issues have completely cleared up! I still take precautions for the sun exposure because in the past i have reacted badly.

Hi I was on both Imuran and Cellcept i was put on both to save my kidneys Imuran did nothing for me soI was on Cellcept for 2 yrs it is the cousin to Cytoxn with is chemo all these are, Cytoxn in intravenous I did not mind Cytoxn it saved my kidneys, I will be honest Cellcept is different for everyone, i didn't like the way it made me fee but i was on 1500 mg 750 am and 750 pm I know this is sounds weird but i was blessed to get shingles so they couldn't keep me on it. I really never herd either one used for rash, but it is possible. My Rheumatologist put on Ketoconazole cream 2% it woks great. As for my kidneys i am doing holistic I am Stage 3 kidney disease and doing okay.
Good luck and many blessings
