I have noticed throughout the years I have episodes of extremely dry itchy ears. Since being being diagnosed I have noticed my ears clear up completely on the steriods but once I discontinue they get dry and itchy really quick. Could this be a lupus rash but in my ears? Anyone else have this?

I have this and it is psoriasis, but that is also autoimmune. I don't have psoriasis anywhere else in my body. Sometimes with lupus you'll have other autoimmune problems too.

My ears also get dry and itchy. I have tried sweet oil and it seems to help. Not sure if mine is related to Lupus or not.

- Lupus and Itchy Ears:
- Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect any part of the body, including the ears.
- Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) can cause skin lesions or rashes.
- Discoid lupus, a type of chronic cutaneous lupus, often affects the scalp, ears, and face, causing scaly, raised lesions that can be itchy.

- Other Causes:
- Itchy ears might also be due to ear wax build-up, ear infections, or allergies to materials like nickel in earrings.
- Skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis could also be the cause.

- Treatment Options:
- Corticosteroid creams, pills, or injections.
- Immunosuppressants to calm the immune system.
- Antimalarial medications.
- Wearing sunscreen and limiting sun exposure.

- Recommendations:
