Hey my peeps!

As some of y'all know i sorta been struggling with boils this year for some reason. I keep getting these painful pimples on my butt and lower thigh areas! I have like 3 of em right now and im not sure why I keep getting them. Do yall think i should just see a dermatologist or is this part of my lupus and i should just suck it up and deal with it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi you should see a doctor. I used to work for a dermatologist and boils can get infected fast and then you can get cellulitis which is a very bad infection I wouldn’t take a chance.

I get sore that look like piples then mosquito bites then open sores and they take forever to heal. Go to dr and get some creams, they have different strengths so if you get them on your face or if they dont work

Yes, it's so annoying! I've been getting them on my chest too. I had to go on antibiotics for a while. I use witch hazel and tea tree oil. Hope you get relief soon.
I have had shingles 4 times, so be careful. Done wait before letting the Drs know! Probably hard to do but I would take photo of it so they can see it.

@A MyLupusTeam Member nope thankfully he doesn't. he has ADHD though.

@A MyLupusTeam Member i haven't had any appear in a while thankfully. i think it's because I took two rounds of antibiotics for my infection in my mouth that it cleared up the boil situation as well.

Boils can easily become infected so if you see any redness around the boils go to the doctor. I have had a infection myself and I worked for a dermatologist and I would see a lot of infections. If it gets infected and you don’t go to the doctor they open it up with a knife and dig down as far as the infection goes then clean it out and sometimes pack it with antibiotics and suture it up. I just don’t want you to have to go through this.
