I had no idea how serious a Vitamin B12 deficiency was. Anyone else with a severe deficiency? How did you find out?
Yes i do as well. My understanding is that is pretty common with lupus. They checked it when i was diagnosed. Now they just randomly check it. They also check my folic acid. I get all of my vitamins from a infusion twice a week at the hospital. Its called a banana bag. Good luck and remember Lupus will always throw you a curve ball. Hang in there.
Yes I also deal with the B-12 deficiency and I found out through bloodwork from my rheumatologist. I get monthly B-12 injections now.
I’ve read that lupies commonly have a B-12 deficiency. I take shots for it but i don’t really notice too much of a difference. Hope it works for those of you taking it!
I've heard it's important to make sure you get enough B12. It's up there with C, calcium, iron and magnesium. So far, I'm ok with my blood results for all but that's with taking D3 and magnesium supplements. I would rather have a monthly shot verses taking any more pills!!!! Bless your heart♡ I will keep you in my prayers🙏🙏🙏
HPylori has nothing to do with Lupus as far as I know however people with autoimmune disease usually have belly issues. Not always, I’m no expert, only my experience.
