Has anyone else had a negative ANA test and still ended up with lupus? If so, how do I convince my doctor to perform a different type of test?
My ANA is always negative as well.
All my other blood work is crazy though, have the rashes, sensitivity to sun, fevers, exhaustion, multiple times with pneumonia, high CReactive(inflammation(RA), 12 pregnancy losses....list goes on.
Now under the care of rheumatologist after 40 yrs of grief
I had a negative one two years ago when I was having symptoms, symptoms continued and I just got tested again this year and it cane back positive and than they did further testing finding low c3 c4 so I would keep asking to be tested at least once a year because I know I was gettinh the symptoms two years ago but it didn’t show until now
