Sorry this has taken so long. Our family has been hit with too much lately.
I’m thru most everything at this point. Lumpectomy, sentinel node removal, radiation. I opted for and was fortunate enough to qualify for brachytherapy radiation. Another surgery to have it implanted, but it was for a shorter time and more precise in location. I will start my 5 years of estrogen blocker prescription tonight. Praying for gentle to no side effects.
I send you prayers, hugs, & wishes for the very best results. It’s not an easy process, but how fortunate to have the kind of treatments available to save our lives.
I was so very fortunate to not have any cancer travel to my lymph nodes.
I’m here should you ever want to discuss anything.

I just had Mastectomy on the 17th. Only diagnosed over a month ago. Soon to start radiation.
I questioned radiation but even friends that are Dr. And Rheumy said the same thing.. Cancer Trump's Lupus..
I have not met with radiologist yet..too soon post op.
So glad you caught it early. I feel blessed that I gave in to primary bugging me to get screening.
Best of luck..let me know what course of radiation you will do. It scares me too...

O.R. had Mozart music playing.. big screen TV with flowering pastures... Then knocked out..LOL.. no bad memories.
Been two weeks..still very sore but only needed Tylenol. Hopefully all will go well.

I have cutaneous lupus. Diagnosed about 10 years ago, but had symptoms for over 20. I am 65. At my routine mammogram about a month ago they found a spot, the biopsy showed cancer. Surgery in about a week. Caught early, so blessed. I am frightened of the radiation beyond belief, and there is so little knowledge on this. Basically cancer trumps lupus so they treat the cancer and I have to be my own advocate where the lupus is concerned. My radiologist is going the extra mile but is not finding many answers. I believe I’ll be having a portal put in for internal radiation, which requires an extra little surgery.😞 Praying my lupus body will put up with all this with minimal issues.

I will find that answer when I get my breast biopsy back next week. Waiting is scary....
I don't think it causes it but weekend immune systems... leave us
more suseptable to virus, flu, any attacks.
It is scary but definitely don't ignore getting mammograms.

A dozen videos... Walking you through everything you need to know... From routine screenings to surgery's etc.
Very helpful... But now I'm waiting to hear..negative or positive. Odds not in my favor..... So pray.... Change the odds. 😇😇🤗💜💖🥰
