Does anyone have thigh pain that starts like pins and needles the n changes to sharp stabbing pain and makes your thigh feel like it’s on fire but it’s a cold burning sensation. My doc says it’s from being overweight but if that was the case why is it only on one side. I have had the pain for over 3 months and at first it only bothered me if I stood or walked for more than 10 minutes now the pain is constant even when I lay down

And with the meralgia paresthetica, it was only on one side and actually got worse when I laid down.

They first thought it was my sciatica or back Or nerve but the pain was only specific to the front of my pelvis thigh and shin. They still gave me gabapentin for the nerves but it didn’t work. I still have it. 🤔🧐
I’m sure there’s an answer just around the corner!!

I had similar pain and recently found out I have a combination of an inguinal hernia accounting for the pelvic pain and something called meralgia paresthetica causing the burning and shooting pain.

I am going thru the same thing. The pain radiates from my pelvic area thru my thigh all the way to my shin. My shin is totally numb stings and no feeling. It’s only my right leg. They can’t figure out why. X-ray on my hip and knee shows degenerative bone loss. I have an MRI coming up. I’ve been applying heating pad. They gave me gabapentin for nerve pain and scheduled a steroid injection For this week. They said it’s RA. It’s the most excruciating pain I ever had. Your pain and symptoms are real!
