Is anyone going drug free with Lupus SLE? I'm very drug sensitive and can't seem to tolerate plaqunil or other drugs tried. If you are not taking any prescriptions, what are you doing to help yourself? Thank you!

I use CBD bath bombs and CBD lotion. Works good but nothing so far takes the pain away

CBD, THC, teas, soaks, someone recommended hypnosis to block the pain. I was to scared to try the last one. The others actually help. What I've learned so far ( it only been 2 or 3 months since I was diagnosed), is lupus causes a pain like nothing else I've experienced so you probably gonna have to find out what works best for you. Trial and error.

I do not take any lupus meds. I have an allergy to plaquinal. I do take aspirin for inflamation along with pepcid. Pain meds from pain management dr. Condition monitored every 3 months or sooner as needed.

I see a naturopathic doctor. I take different supplements to help with whatever issues come up with my flare ups. I also eat clean with minimal processed food. I had stage 3b CKD, platelet issues, insomnia, migraines, joint pain and fatigue. I'm currently in remission and my kidney function is normal.
Changing your lifestyle and eating habits is hard but for me living with lupus is harder. These changes made me go into remission so I'll continue doing these things bc of it.

I also am sensitive to drugs. Steroids put me in a psychosis. Neurontin causes tremors and anxiety. I see a pain management dr. Take things one day at a time. Now looking for a new rheumatologist. Afraid to take any meds due to bad side effects.
