Is it normal for the Titer & pattern to change?
Usually, the results of the ANA test are reported in titers and patterns. The titer gives information about how many times the lab technician diluted the blood plasma to get a sample of ANAs. Each titer involves doubling the amount of test fluid, so that the difference between a titer of 1:640 and 1:320 is one dilution.

ANA titers and patterns can vary between laboratory testing sites due to variation in the methodology used. The commonly recognized patterns include: 2 Homogeneous - total nuclear fluorescence due to an antibody directed against DNA or histone proteins. Common in systemic lupus erythematosus.
@A MyLupusTeam Member prayers that you get answers and a good team so you can begin to heal. Make sure to document everything and take pictures of anything that looks off. Sounds like Lupus to me. I just don’t get why my pattern keeps changing. My mom has Lupus as well and her numbers etc were always the same. My case is much more severe though so who knows. I’m on every drug and start infusions soon. Also, keep track of any questions you have. That way you are not like me with terrible brain fog and forget everythhing You want to ask/know. Good luck, you are not alone 💕🦋
I wish I could help you,I’m so new to this, my first ANA test was positive at 1:160 my Dr never said a word to me about that, she did mention that my immune system was attacking my Thyroid that was like July but no follow up. Was back to see my PA the first part of June once again I told her how tired and how much pain I was in she didn’t say any thing until I told her about the Mylar rash across the bridge of my nose and slightly on forehead. Then it was all this blood work ordered again. When the office got the the results they want me to see a specialist for arthritis my RA test are negative, ANA test was up to 1:320, my PA told me I had Lupus but wants the specialist to give the dx: of what kind exactly. I can’t see one until August 6, 2020. I’m hoping at that time to get a better understanding of the blood work and the numbers and what they mean. I have done a lot of research on my own but I just need to have a better understanding. Hope you have a blessed day today sorry I couldn’t answer your question but I’m sure that someone on this site can explain it to you. It will be interesting to see what they have encountered in their journey. Gentle Hug’s
