Any of you going through losing hair or falling out? My hair falls just sleeping or brushing. I just don’t brush my hair wet anymore? Is this due to plaquenil meds losing hair. Thank you all and love you all

My hair was long, fine, soft and healthy. Within 2 months it became very dry, brittle, breaking off and falling out. It was in the middle of my back and broke to the back of my neck. 😔. I asked my stylist, nurse friends and doctors for a year. Everyone kinda shrugged it off. Hindsight it was the first symptom of my Lupus. My scalp was inflamed, when I pushed on the top of my head it felt like a dry sponge below my skin. I couldn’t feel myself touching my head with my own finger nail. Not washing it everyday, taking prenatal pills and biotin, avoiding the blow dryer and using Nioxin shampoo have helped save what was left. But it didn’t start to Actually grow back until the inflammation subsided. I am on plaquenil, but my hair loss began a year before taking in. I’m sorry-I know this sucks!

I have had lupus for about three years and my hair was fine. But now it has become dry and brittle and thin. I don’t know if it’s because of the lupus or the plaquenil. Can’t figure out why it started happening all of a sudden.
