What is causing my hands to hurt so bad? It hurts to touch, hurts to pick up a glass of water. I'm in so much hand pain. My thumb is killing me. 😫 I just rubbed cbd pain cream, I bought a hand massager which helps. But this is painful.

Sorry, this is how my lupus first started. Hands and feet. Misery!!!! Itching, peeling, burning, joint pain, swollen. My hand therapist, after my surgery told me to reset my nerves by having a sink of hot water and ice cold water. Start by putting you hands in cold water first then once you can feel the cold, go to the hot side. Do this a couple of times and end with cold always. I do this in the shower as well with water control. It works for me. Rough to take but it resets my nerves. !! Healing wishes and hugs.

Hey Melissa no knows your true answer but we all can relate. I have constant hand pain. It comes with this Lupus. Fir some reason it loves to inflame our joints which in turn causes the nerve pain. Then numbness. I will be praying for you . I truly don't think they have the answers for us. Do what makes it less painful for you. Lovey girl hang in there. Oh the CBD rub didn't work any better than blue emu rub. Use that with lidocaine in it.

Thank you for the info....For myself, I get it mostly when my FM or SLE is flarring up but it's sneaky in that it seems to happen in a blink of an eye during a previously pretty comfortable day....The way those flares have a mind of their own.....Susan
