Has anyone ever been told, while diagnosed with Lupus, that you have protein in your urine? If yes, what did you do to reduce it or even lower it?

I have protein frequently. It's part of the illness because Lupus affects our kidneys. Keep an eye on it. You will know there is a problem with your kidneys if it climbs too high. Your doctor will also monitor it to stage any kidney issue with may come up during treatment.

Yes! I had so much that my nephrologist put me on a high dose of prednisone and mycophenolate! AND I ended up being diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis.

Yes, I have and they are sending me to a nepherologist. (A kidney specialist) to run test and see how bad my kidneys are.

I don't think you can reduce it. Are they going to refer you? I hope they? I was told that protein in your kidneys means your kidneys aren't working right. I was also told that Lupus likes to attack the kidneys.. Ugh

Good luck! 💙.
