Hello all! It's been awhile since I was last on here. Are their any lupies on here that are on any special diets that help with flares? Thank you in advance!

We eat mostly deer and fish. My husband Hunts! Some of it might be im keeping sugar levels from spiking to much! Good luck💝

I try to eat healthy lots of water and fresh veggies, fruits. I don’t eat red meat, mostly Turkey and wild caught fish/seafood. This has been working for me.

I watch my phosphorous intake (sodas, red meat, whole grains...) It really sets off my arthritis flares, especially the osteo that tends to appear after a Lupus arthritis flare... You can find a list of high phosphourous containing foods on the Kidney Foundation website. Also, the "Alkaline/ash" diet is helpful to prevent arthritis flares...Similar to the Mediteranean Diet...
